There’s big and unexpected news out today. AMIMON, along with Motorola, Hitachi, Sharp, Samsung and Sony have formed a consortium to develop a new standard for streaming multimedia content wirelessly across multiple rooms. The new standard will be based on AMIMON’s Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) technology, and is expected to be embedded in products at retail in 2009.
